Easter

Our Easter was pretty ordinary. We did our usual egg hunt round on Saturday, went to church on Sunday, and then ate at dinner at our friends’ home. It was quiet, but sometimes that’s just how I like it.

Saturday started off early with the egg hunt at one of the city parks. This was the same one we went to last year with disastrous results. This year was much better as far as egg collecting went, but there were still masses of people to navigate in order to redeem all the tickets that were in the eggs. After 10 minutes of trying to make our way through the crowd of people with Ellie constantly trying to wander off and Sadie whining about being cold and not getting to eat her candy, we bagged it and went home. Turns out there are still some things I just can’t do with two little kids by myself. That was one of them!

Our grocery store also does a little “bunny trail” around the store with all sorts of good stuff. Here’s that experience, iPod style:

And finally, we colored Easter eggs for the Easter bunny to hide…

And then took our traditional “kid-in-a-basket” pictures. Ellie wasn’t really fond of the experience, but Sadie thought she was pretty cool.
