This last Sunday was Kevin's birthday. Being a Sunday and all, we didn't do anything too exciting to celebrate but we did load up on the dessert (what more could Kevin ask for?). We went to the Humpherys' for pre-Thanksgiving pie and then came home and had a German chocolate cake. I insisted we put all 24 candles on there - the cake was a little waxy afterwards, but no harm done!
Kevin opened his presents from me right when we got home from church (thus the suit and the basketball-coach appearance). He got a new Aggie hat, the movie Transformers, and... socks! Yahoo! Isn't he handsome?
Side note: yes, that is our piano sitting behind Kevin in our dining area in the first picture. Long story short, Kevin insisted we set up the Christmas tree on his birthday (a little eager, isn't he?) and there was no room for it in the living room....SO the piano has a new home next to the kitchen table. But look on the bright side - we can take turns playing Christmas music while we eat! And the tree looks great, albeit a little crowded, in the front room. Unfortunately, yesterday after we set up the tree it was almost 70 degrees in Logan so our Christmas spirit fizzled a bit. It's probably our punishment for trying to skip over Thanksgiving!
Happy Birthday, Kev!! I'm so glad you started a blog. This way Halle will get to see lots of pictures of her aunt, uncle, and new cousin even though she doesn't get to visit very often. Thanks for coming down a few weekends ago. And we can't wait to see you tomorrow!
