We haven't gotten much snow this winter, so when the forecast said a storm was moving in on Kevin's day off in early February, we decided to take the kids sledding. We didn't go last year for whatever reason, so the girls' memories were foggy of what sledding even is. We knew Sadie would love it, but what we weren't expecting was for
Ellie to love it. I don't know if I've ever seen that girl laugh so hard in my life. There was once that she went down with Kevin and when they got to the bottom where I was waiting, Kevin stayed splayed out on the tube while she clambered off. She staggered over to him and said through her hysterics, "daddy, you
dead!" And then proceeded to collapse in the snow in a fit of laughter. Crazy girl.
When we first got to the park, it was snowing so hard we could barely see in front of us. On the bright side, though, it kept the people away. It stopped after about ten minutes and we had the whole park to ourselves for an hour.
We had to take a break half-way through to drink some hot chocolate.
