We had this incredible lightning storm here last night. Because of where our house is, we were literally able to stand on our driveway and see a sweeping 180-degree panoramic view of the lightning happening all over the valley. It was one of the COOLEST things I have ever seen. In my experience, Utah doesn't often see lightning like this. Usually you see it a dozen times before a thunder storm rolls in and that's it. But this time, we stood outside for almost an hour as the lightning flashed and flashed and flashed, over and over again.
Eventually we got smart and ran inside to get the camera and tripod.
One very slow shutter speed, dozens of shutter clicks, and lots of patience later, we ended up with these:
| See the little tiny moon behind it? Looks like the lightning is going to strike it in half. |
I love nature.
Those are amazing pics Nat!
