Biding our Time

Ah, "limbo." It's such a great place to be. Basically, here's where we're at now:

(Does anyone really care about this? I have no idea.)

We moved out of our apartment almost two weeks ago. It was a little insane, but we did everything in less than two days. Exhausting!

We're currently homeless. Or, we would be if it weren't for Kevin's parents.

But not for long! The house is technically finished. Yep. Done. Sitting there ready for us to move in. But the banks are taking their sweet time getting everything ready for us to close. We're thinking early next week sometime, which means we're still in that special, special place: limbo!

Here's a rundown of what we've been up to while we're waiting (in no particular order):

Kevin and Sadie built a giant snowman after the storm that hit a few days after we got here.

Sadie has been a big help (or maybe hindrance) in helping grandma take down all the Christmas stuff. Grandma even turned the tree skirt into a "princess cape."

Sadie, of course, got a little distracted playing pretend with the extra tree ornaments.

Sadie also coerced grandpa into playing princesses with her a couple times. Now that's how you know this girl can be persuasive!

We made one visit to the house with the kids. Sadie did a little dancing.
And playing hide-and-go-seek in the closet.

And snuggling on the newly installed carpet.
(Fact: Big empty houses make great playgrounds.)

And we can't forget Miss Ellie! She's been practicing her mad sitting skills...
...(or not)
She would just like everyone to know that she could care less about houses and moving. Just give this girl something to stick in her mouth and she's happy.
